Can train learners and other instructors. Every ATB must employ at least one.

CBT1 instructor
They conduct compulsory basic training and issue DL196 (CBT) certificates.

RoSPA gold
The highest advanced standard attainable by civilians.

RoSPA diploma
Open only to gold holders the highest recognised teaching qualification for advanced riding.

DSA register of post test trainers (RPMT)

Conduct Training under the Enhanced Rider Scheme and issue certificates that attest the rider's skill and earn them large discounts from almost all the large bike insurers

Jen Makin - Jen is our Office Manager and probably the first person you will speak to if you call the office. She will be able to answer all your questions with regards to the training, licences and booking of lessons.... and of course anything to do with Harry Potter.

Keith Ewington - DAS, Cardington, RoSPA gold, RoSPA Diploma, RPMT. Has been riding for 25 years and has always made his living from riding bikes. In a motorcycle display team, as a courier in London and now as an instructor, Keith is dazzlingly handsome and witty, caring, compassionate, loves children and animals and wishes for world peace. Keith also wrote the text for this website.

Christopher Preston - DAS Cardington and RoSPA gold. Father of dozens Chris is gifted with a highly analytical eye that enables him to recognise and so correct riding faults with unerring accuracy. Unfortunately his other eye is rubbish and spends its time watching soap operas

Danny Chopping - CBT1 instructor, RoSPA gold, RPMT. Ewan McGregor wannabe, Danny spends most of his time practicing the Scottish accent to perfection. One day he'll make  The Long Way Home without falling off!

Andy Hollier - CBT1 Inexplicably single, Andy is so into motorcycling that he doesn't have a car licence. This means that his weekly shop (7 portions of pie & chips to take out, a box of crunchy nut and 14 cans of lager) have to be spread between his rucksack and pockets, he has also noticed that by the end of the week his dinner has gone cold

Max Rostron - CBT1 instructor. Max's slim good looks and habit of washing everyday will get him sacked if he continues to make the rest of us look bad.

Stephen Rutherfoord - CBT1 instructor. The only man we know who managed to miss Belgium by 2 whole countries on a recent bike tour.

Pete Milburn - CBT1 instructor. Part time as he runs British Bike Tours (see contacts page) and spends most of the year being paid to go on other people's holidays with, jammy git!

Steve Chesterman - "Chesty" has been a bike instructor for 30 years and is also a qualified car instructor, only works part time for us (when the sun is out and air temperatures are above 80) as he works full time as a Road Safety Officer.

Paul Johnson - DAS, Cardington RoSPA gold, track day instructor. Ex-national class production motorcycle racer and shark attack victim, Paul's laconic teaching style has brought him plaudits from the makers of Prozac. He is also Freedoms reigning wheelie king.
